Driving lessons in Lowestoft for over 25 years...

A vast amount of Driving School cars have markers (bits of tape) stuck on steering wheels, rear, side, front windows etc. Avoid them!

This is indicative of how these so called Instructors teach i.e. they actually teach people how many turns of the wheel it takes to reverse around a bend, to 'line the kerb up' with bits of other cars or marker points ('bits of tape') stuck on windows and often don't teach clutch (fine) control at all .

You can be sure that this is not how they reverse them selves so why should they do this?

- Teaching how to pass the test (with luck) - not how to drive...

The best way for you to see this first hand is to go to Youtube and search (for example) "Parallel Parking". There you will see hours of videos made by idiots (and you will agree that's not too strong a term)  instructing how much wheel to turn etc (when different cars can have two, one and a half, or one and three quarter turns to full lock so that 'one turn' can be an infinitely different amount depending on the car you are driving). Then instructing to line up windows, door mirrors etc of vehicles to parts of other vehicles.

Unbelievable.....

All vehicles aren't the same and can have or not have windows and door mirrors in different places.

With such dippy methods they are teaching a risky, confusing, way (relying on luck) to park their  car. If it does happen to work on your driving test then it will have been by luck not judgement and you will be completely lost afterwards when it comes to parking your own car.

Not what you spend your money on Driving lessons for...

I have seen hours of Youtube video on parking alone and I haven't seen one video not teaching in this dippy manner (and reversing etc also has to be seen to beggar belief).

This is the main reason for the, acclaimed, unacceptably low ability of new drivers and that the Tests continue to be updated and become harder and why everyone knows of someone who have passed the test, can't reverse or park, seem confused and don't appear to have good control of the car.

I will teach you clutch control and how to judge reversing and parking etc for your self so that you should feel confident in your own judgement when you are on your own - for life - i.e. not just how to pass a test relying on luck...
